Native
Whitetail Deer: We have a
good buck to doe ratio. You may harvest Management or Trophy bucks
and hunt with bows, legal shotguns or rifles. We manage the
populations of deer with hunting limits set by our game manager
with your enjoyment for many return visits in mind.
There
are 50,000 acres on the two L.S. McDowell Ranches, much of which have
deer, quail and other game. Along the upper Colorado River in
Borden County, TX are 16,000 acres of Rolling Plains where most of the
seasonal and annual leases are located (including fishing). There are
34,000 additional acres on the
Glasscock and Howard County Ranch where
the Lodge, packaged hunts and some seasonal leases are located.
Hunt
Spring Turkey, Coyote, & Feral Hogs—even the occasional mountain
lion or bobcat—on 50,000 acres of varied terrain. You may also
hunt rabbit or rattlesnake.
